CRANE Culturing Platform

The CRANE platform allows researchers to probe neuron activity using a network of electrodes. Typical culturing platforms require neurons to be arranged in a thin film, which is a poor representation of the brain as a whole. CRANE allows neurons to be observed in their natural arrangement, using flex circuit technology to place electrodes above and below multi-layer neuron cultures.  The CRANE  approach allows for 3D culturing, 3D signal acquisition, and better insight into how neurons interact in the brain.
